Merc Opti Power Plus Sales Event???

Does anyone know what this promo is offering for the Optimax line? You would think the link on Mercs web site would work but it doesn't for me.

The promo adds 2 years non declining warranty for a total of 5 years. Have to have your dealer register your warranty by april 15th.

Is this only for 2006 engines or would a 2005 2.5 xs engine be included?

I saw on the flyere the 2006 pro xs is on the cover so 225 hp engines are?

They ran the same promo last year. To my knowledge anything out of the high performance division is not included.

I would have thought that was the case too, but on the flyer there is a picture of the 225 pro xs engine. The Pro xs engine was the engine that replaced the 2.5 xs, and the 2.5xs engine replaced the promax 225x.

The 2.5 xs is part of the Racing or Hi Performance, so I am assuming then that is not included like you said above.

The 225 Pro XS is regular Mercury production not part of racing... (There is a 225 Sport XS that is racing) supposedly the same motor but the Sport has the Sportmaster gearcase and the Pro has a torquemaster. The 225 Pro XS is eligible for teh additional warranty
