I own a a 1984 HydroStream Vegas. In the middle of the motor well, I have a 'rubber boot' that holds the hydraulic lines to the: trim pump on the motor, jack plate and the fuel line. When I back the boat up and my motor well fills with water, water drains into the bildge, because this boot isn't water tight...i'm not talking just alittle water, my bildge pump will run for quite some time. So, my question is, is there a water tight boot that replaces this 'peice of crap'...what options do I have:confused:
Thanks for your help:D

Does it still have the grommets where the hoses go throught the plastic? They help alot. The one I had in my Valero didn't leak at all.

Yes, the grommets are still there! I think we are talking about the same part, wounder why mine leaks and yours didn't? The boot looks to be in good shape, just leaks a lot of water into the bildge.

The bottom gasket could be damaged or missing.

The gasket looks good! I also ran a beed of silicone around the base...still leaks. Is there a after market 'boot' that would work better, anyone know?

why dont you use the 2" hose system. split out the gas hose at the transom.
