diff between 1994 merc 175 and 200

does anybody know the diff between a 1994 merc 175 hp and 200 hp? My friend has a carb set up for a 200.I already change the tuner.how much will I gain changing carbs and reeds?

by putting the 200 stuff in place of the 175 stuff you will be accomplishing nothing
both motors in 1994 or the 2.5 cast block both used the same front half ,manifold and reed blocks
the difference is in the port heights and subtle other differences in the block
if you want alot more info it would just be easier to give me a call

....or you could just go to a site such as dougrussell.com and look at the parts breakdowns for various serial number groups and figure it out for yourself.
The beauty of the Merc V-6 is that you can intermix numerous parts and come up with just about any variation you want. Pity the poor mechanic that has to work on some of the stuff I've put together in the past from numerous combinations of different year v-6 models!!
