Are they the same jet?

I looks like from the BRP online site, that mine uses a 61c highspeed, and a 36 intermediate, however, their part number crosses to a 36c in my factory manual.

So my question is, are those jets interchangeable, and since Al told me to richen the intermediates 4 sizes, do I need to use a 40c, or a different jet all together?

And my choice, if so, is a 38c or a 41c, so which would be the better choice for me. I am adding XP 2.6 heads and boyesens.

Call Al Tuesday. He should be back from vacation.
I think you are going the wrong way in size to make it richer!
On a main jet it passes fuel, so the higher # is larger hole = more fuel.
But an air correction jet (read idle or mid) the higher the # the more air it passes = less fuel drawn up thru the circiut = leaner.
Now that said, I've been wrong before, and I'm sure I'll be wrong again!
Play it safe, call.

The intermediate is in the float bowl, so it has to be a fuel jet, so going up is richer.

Only the idle jet is air.

I apoligize for not stating, on a 3.0 looper the idle and mid are air correction jets. Still call Al next week and get the correct stuff/info.

On some crossflow carbs the mid range jet is the same style as the high speed. IE -- both are "C" model jets. They both flow fuel in that carb so going bigger (higher number) is going richer. "D" style jets are the same looking but dont mix them up.

The only time its the other way around is if a jet is exposed to air (not covered), then you have to go down in size to go richer.

You are correct sir, they are C's, so I got the right ones ordered finally.

I really cannot believe how clean this engine is on the inside, the carbs are all clean, rubber is in good shape, even the hatch marks in the cylinders is still there.
