I have a new 2005 200 3.0l merc. it is stock and only runs around 5600 rpms at around 81 mph. it has the 2yr warranty and after going through a couple of power heads so far i would like to keep the warranty. is there anything i can do to modify it without voiding the warranty?

I have a 225 hp 3.0L 2003 and there doesn't seem to be anything simple out there to add some big gains. One tech said I could go with 250 computer and change the fuel curve. Another route is the MAD EFI set-up, but it's costly and there is some head work involved.

I resently dicovered that you want to becarefull about loading and unloading the lower unit. You can pop a pinion shaft with the extra torque our motors make.

Shoot me an email if you find anything.
