Whats the max rpms I can turn on a stock carburated 2.5 200 merc?

Just kidding, probably about 7000~7200 would be the "safe" max with the stock cast pistons. The question is, will you be making any power at those rpms? If it is completely stock, it will probably start running out of steam in the 6500~6800 range. :cool:

The oil injections start to fail at a high rate at 6800. Stock, you'll quit making power around the 6000 to 6200 range. Prop it to run in that range. Cast pistons live forever in that range, but don't last long over 6500.
