‘The World is not Enough’ has a three-shaftline solution. Two LJ77E steering and reversible wing jets are each linked to a 4000 kW high-speed diesel engine. The centre LJ84E booster jet is linked to a 6700 kW gas turbine. The waterjets are weight-optimized to achieve the best power/weight ratio. Wärtsilä and Mulder Design developed a special inlet using advanced computational fluid dynamics (CFD) calculations to create optimum inlet duct characteristics over the entire power and speed range of the yacht up to the top speed of 70 knots.

Multiply HP by 0.7357 to get KW

That is the same conversion number I have ;)

it seems like those boats would be hard to pull off the sand spit when the tide goes out.

I was watching the TV show Top Gear and they featured this 118' yacht:

http://www.wally.com/jumpch.asp?idChannel=44&idUser=0&attivo=2-6

They list the cruising speed at 60 kts with a fuel burn of 15 gal/nm and a range of 380 nm at this speed. Fuel capacity is 5,812 gal and the range increases to 1,500 nm at 9 kts.
