Offshore mid?

Will a 20" 2.4 offshore mid fit a 2.5 motor? Ok, its a 1990 2.4 offshore mid that will be put on a 1991 2.5. Will this work ? Thanks Dell

The bolt pattern in the bottom of all 2, 2.4, & 2.5 liter Merc V6's is the same. There are several different exhaust openings in the bottom of the powerheads. The mids will be the same but you may have to either swap the plate or in some cases some grinding will make it usuable.

An offshore mid is stronger and has solid mounting and will give a better hole shot on SOME boats (depending on several things) BUT........ it's also heavier, louder, and won't produce any top end advantage.

I think it's about 20-25 lb.
