I am putting a 175 horse 1981 Johnson where a 90 hp mid eighties Mercury now resides. There are eight wires that go to the throttle control of the Johnson that I need help with. I did not get the throttle controller with the motor. The wires are Red, Grey, Yellow with red stripe, Black, Purple with white stripe, Purple, Tan, and Black with yellow stripe. I think the yellow with red goes to the starter solenoid. Black is a ground. Purple with white is for the choke. Purple is for temp. buzzer. I think these are correct. I need Red, grey, tan, and black with yellow. Thank you to any who can help.
