i need help with a few parts ? does any one make a nik cyl for this motor or do i have to use a steel one? if so where can i get one also i need to find a piston port side and a full set of rings i know if i use a steel sleve i have to use chrome rings on this piston ps! the cause of the blowen cyl was a broken ring. the motor is a 1996 thanks LJ Giroux

Make sure you don’t have loose ring locator pin. That’s why rings usually break. The pins can come loose after 50 or 60 hours.

send your block to jim ruck. he'll put a new nic sleeve in it and check it over for you. Check your other pistons for loose or damaged locator pins as well. You should do a forum search on locating pins. theyre the main reason for most 2.5efi engine failures. you may want to consider new top pinned pistons or repinning yours. use the search feature and you'll be amazed with the info you'll find here.
