PBCC Update/ Review

Hey guys! Just wanted to take the liberty to say HI and see what your all up to now that our boats are tucked away. Maybe share your ideas for what your doing over the winter to your rigs.

Also, there has been som interest in the TIBS (Toronto International Boat Show) in mid. January. As you are aware we do this on a volunteer basis and ALWAYS need volunteers, so don't be shy.....you'll need a FIX come January anyways. We get our booth FREE from the show and don't know much about size or location till last minute. I spoke w/ Anthony and he mentioned Fred B. was looking at some interesting stuff for sponsors.....eitherway we will put on another great display.

Thanks for the fun and I hope you guys will assist us on this front as much as you participated in the summer events. :)

So who's squeezing more speed next year? I know Likwid tardo is hoping for a few extra MPH......and should get it... now he's learned what a torque wrench is........LOL.

I recently bought a VKING from fellow PBCC member C. Lacey and can't wait for next summer. I live in Toronto and boat on Rice Lake. I have actively communicated with a few of you for a while now but I am now looking at becoming a member for 2006. When do the 2006 memberships become available?
As far as the boat, I am updating it with new gauges, steering wheel and maybe a shifter... As far as the engine, some work is going to be done, but nothing to get me too fast just yet. I want it to be reliable for my first season with it. I will be putting new bunks on the trailer too.

Anyone know if it is worth it to rder stuff from the U.S? Is it cheaper to order through Trick Marine's sale ehn you add in shipping and customs fees?

Rich, I would like to see PBCC do some drag racing at the events next year. If the distance was around 700' speeds are under 90mph for most which keeps things safe. I know that would get myslef and others I know out to the events.

Anyone in Canada want to buy a nice 15" drag mid, drystacked with a oval tuner?

The new motor is rocking but my pump is now the weak link I think. Its not liking the whole pumping gravel thing which is too bad cause it is ALOT of fun :)

I think we'd have to call the drag event 'propeller testing'...

Now that I think about it, I'd be up for a prop testing day. Bring your boat and some props and try swaps. We'd need a location with a high probability of calm water, which counts out Cooch, my home lake.

More speed for next year? There is an untested 28" small ear chopper on my floor, waiting for my Allison. And maybe next year I'll have to pull the rev limiter on my Nissan so my Voo Doo will still outrun Chris's Voo Doo.

Forgot to mention the Fall Social (year end Club party) Saturday November 26th in Orillia.....who's going and who's getting a hotel? Apparently it a real high end deal with all the big money boys......and I think its FREE :D to paid members. I missed last years but heard the food was amazing and the bar WAS stocked.

yep, that's what I said. USPS. US Postal Service. And if they ship Express it actuall comes to us through Purolater, again with NO brokerage. I bought the bezels around Phish's guages from Dana. Cost was around $75US, but UPS brokerage added another $50! Wish I knew then what I know now.

Rampager, I had to share a cabin (aka Stabbin Cabin) with Dreamer and P-Man at Rice Lake. Lemme tell ya, he should change his callsign to "WetDreamer". At least thats what PMan told me. For the record I was with my GF, and I dont have a closet to come out of! Bogman, back me up! Recently quarantined due to Biohazard Contamination is Cabin # 6, Room # 2 at SanderCOCK'S resort, Rice Lake, Ontario, Canada.

Ok im done. As for improvements, definitely a new, high quality torque wrench. Maybe I wont break any more powerhead studs. I need to see how far I am going to go with the Vector, pads got a big hook. Had a great time, met alot of cool people, everyone was out to do the same thing.

Maybe if Dreamer would let me try out his 260, if I like it I might buy it!

Yes we have started the discussions in the area of Drags or Roundy again with Bill K. It will happen again, just give us some time...maybe not 2006, just becasue I have other priorites right now...but you can count on us putting something together again in the near future.

PBCC will not be the governing body and if we do it thru CBF again (for insurance purposes) PBCC will only be the club affilation. So you will have to be a PBCC meber to race...anyway those deatils are a long way off still.

It will happen again :)

Cant remember much, lots of laughs, loose women, lowsy company, and crappy weather (cold). Your typical PBCC event. J/K. Double R put on a great show, great food, cold beer and a DJ spinnin da beats. As for the CUMFART Inn, I cant believe we didnt get kicked out. Napolean was not the most quiet barkeep. I heard the best pickup line ever over breakfast on Sunday morning, Ill let PMan tell you, hilarious. Saw Miss Supertest, some nice 50'+ cats and lots of cool riggin, some nice supercharged sleds. Nice setup.
