With the XRI, I found that the spacers between the manifold and the airbox gave better midrange and bottom end punch...The 2" spacer in the air box wuz juss to move the butterflies on the front away from the fuel rail, and help keep air flow'in a lil straighter...I don't know if it would help without the front butterflies or not...It would just give the airbox greater volume in it's stock form, and I wouldn't reely thank it would be a performance gain ov anykind without the front butterflies...

Did you have to make any other modifications, other that installing the apacers? I have been considering this mod on my 2.5.

Thanks for the Post Rex. I think I am going to try and make one of em as well as the other spacer I was talking about. That picture helps a lot!

That particular engine/XRI had mods, but I made a set for a stock 200, 2.5 juss to see if it dun any good.....Reely bumped up midrange, no top rpm gain tho!!
