'88 5.0 notch back, 5 speed. Purchased it new off the lot in 88. Little done to it except (re-painted): air silencer gone, K&N, Ford Motosport 2 1/4 H-pipe and 3:55 gears, Walker Dynomax 2 1/2 cat back and Ceneterforce clutch. Still a blast to drive!

'91 LX hatch. Fairly uncommon Crystal Blue/Crystal Blue car. Originally a 2.3L auto, now sporting the same 2.3 backed by a T5 out of an '85 Turbo Coupe. The motor was rebuilt 2 years ago and I did some port work on the head. Mostly just cleaning up the bowls. I use a tubular exhaust manifold from a late model Ranger instead of the cast iron manifold. I swapped axles and rotors for 5-lug parts and now run 16" '94 GT wheels. (waffle ponies :) ) and 245/55-ZR16 Goodyear GS-C's I'm thinking about switching over to the later front spindles so I can go up a little bit in rotor size. The car is driven daily and gets 27 mpg with the A/C on and 30mpg with it off.
Fresh paint and interior are in the works right now. After the cosmetics are done, I'm going to start building a turbocharged 2.3 a'la Thunderbird Turbo Coupe, or Mustang SVO.

I had a 2000 v-6 mustang with a mac cold air intake and a GT take off exhaust system with the H pipe and flowmaster 40 series non delta flow mufflers that car sounded good.
Then I got a 2003 v-6 mustang and put a mac cold air intake and a mac cat back system.
Now I drive a 2005 ford explorer. Towing the boat with the mustangs sucked. But i am a ford man and I stick with them. Not sure if that is good or bad.
I know im going to get knocked for having the V-6. But you come to jersey at the age of 18-21 and get insurance on this car. The average insuarnce price for me was a little under 5000.00 and I have no points on my license. So that is why I did not get the GT.
But ill tell you what the v-6 mustangs are pretty fast if you do some work to them. My friend has a 2000 with gears a shift kit, exhaust, intake, and posi. That car is fast.

To jump in late here. I have been a fox mustang fan since I was 11. Dad brought home a turbo 4 than later the first 4bbl 5.0. I thought they where the fastest cars ever. Currently I have an 84 street/strip car a 97 saleen cvt and my favorite 93 lightning (mustang with a bed on it) I have owned 15 over the years. Thinking on a new 05

2000 model, got it for my kid as his first car(figuring a V6 would be safe) squeeks them in 4 gears, lots of power over three grand, he never got a ticket, every time I drive it there's a cop watching me. They are definatly awesome cars for the money.

We got her an '06 in Vista Blue with tan interior and the Pony Package. she fell in love with it when she saw it. It's got the 4.0 V6 and automatic trans. While it doesn't quite have that V8 tone, its no slouch from stoplight to stoplight. It makes her happy and that's all that counts.

Brian, that's a sweet lookin' Mustang. I like that color a lot. Sandi just picked up a loaded GT Premium 5-speed, and I've been having a lot of fun with it. Awesome car. I want to run it against my Z28 or SS to see what happens. :)
The V6 is a very potent package these days. They did a great job with it.

Thanks Greg! I was impressed with its performance as well. That's a sharp GT too. I'd be curious to see how it stacked up against an LSx powered car. Joy toyed with the idea of a red one, she liked the darker red but when she found the blue one and it had the different grill and wheels (she didn't care for the Halibrand look-alikes that are standard on the V6 cars) she was sold and soon thereafter so was the car. Judging from her recent road stories, she's getting a radar detector for Mother's Day. :)

The new Mustang really impresses me. My family has had MANY GTs over the years, including a Cobra, and I have to say that the current car is the best modern Mustang yet. The V6 car would probably run good against a 5-liter IROC or Trans Am 3rd Gen - maybe even beat it.
Good luck with the new ride - it's awesome!

Now I gotta find a bigger turbo for my little 4-pop fox body. We drove my '91 to the dealership that day. When we were waiting for paperwork to be processed I jokingly looked over and said "I'll race you home" She didn't hesitate or even blink and replied "I'll win" Can't argue with the truth. Oddly enough, my '91 was purchased by my mother new at the same dealership.

It has a 4R70W trans with a man rev valvebody, 3500 stall converter with 4.10 gears! Not sure of power yet, still in the build up stage of getting it sorted out.

No, probably not. I have to sell it when it gets going again. Was building it for a serious street/strip car. I lost my job a few months ago and the income is WAY less than before. Fortunately I have all the parts, just gotta put them on. The goal for the car is to be in the 500RWHp range after custom tuning.

I, too have a '67 fastback. She needs total restoration, but is a solid rust-free car to use as a platform to build a nice car. This is the replacement for my first one (my first car), which I was forced to sell about ten years ago.

I also have a '65 fastback. Not nearly as nice, but definitely fixable. The '65 will be a GT350 clone when finished. Both will have big inch stroker small blocks, 5 or 6 speeds, and some serious chassis/suspension upgrades.
