Carefull there big shooter ...
Yes I did say I only use the Activator on nice days during the winter, as I really don't see the point in freezing my a$$ off and getting soaked to the bone when I don't need to ;)
But yes I have, and do run in rough water, but if it is too rough you can't keep the boat in the water at speed and that just slows you down as it is hard for the prop to bite in air :D

thats why they invented RAINGEAR and LONJOHNS...... its been nice out the last few dayz did the activator get used..........

Keep it up big shooter  :p
Flip me crap all you want, but I will not run the Activator in the rain unless I get stuck in it! Because that is why I like it and what I want to do :p .
To me the Activator is my toy, my pampered hot rod, if you will, but I do use it when I feel like it. Instead of a street rod or harley, this is my mid life crisis toy.
Don't forget, I also have the family cruiser with a closed cabin and heat, so I am willing to bet I have more boating hours under my belt this year than most ;)
Regarding the somewhat nice weather we have been having, I have this thing called a JOB, know what that is :p and it gets dark before I get off

gotta flip ya crap... you still owe me a ride......... that was a low blow on the job thing.... damn winter set in... work is gettin slim...... as a matter of fact to slim... gotta get a part timer to keep things afloat..... its all in fun anyway...
oh and 1 more thing.... dark schmark.... they make lights for boats:p...... atleast you got a boat that runs... mine are either torn appart, gettin redone, or put away.... so o boating fer me...

Sorry Sam :o
So back to you...
Basically you gained approx 10 mph switching from the SVS 2.5 liter to the 3.0 liter, that is impressive. Did you make any other changes besides the motor swap?
you lay off the meatballs and doughnuts, you might see 95 :D

I know it's about you Sam...
But since you didn't answer yet...
Greg, I have a RE3 and am keeping my eyes open for an RE4 (they are kind of pricey new :o ). The RE3 is the best handling 3-blade I have tried so far so I imagine the RE4 would handle even better
