Just in the process of buying steering for my boat, and need to know how close you can get a pair of 300PM's together, (engine centre lines) I need to know so I can order the right length tie bar for the two, and before any one says go measure them the motors aren't here right now, as It's all coming form the USA and Im in NZ...

Hi!

I have looked into this, and the alien cowlings only allows you to have the engines 23 inches center to center.

Ring Ross at Fish City in Hamilton NZ, He cut down his cowls to get the motors closer together. I guess your getting your boat built by Composite Technology in Auckland.
Sounds like that will be a great rig.

Thanks for the suggestion, was trying to get them close without hacking up the cowlings at this point. CT has built a 21ft Sonic for me, just waiting on engines to turn up then should be all go, hopefully should be pretty quick.
