Is there a way to find out the year of a Evinrude 300XP with the serial #? The # is 012534

The model year is inthe model number. OMC uses:

Yeah I know but I can't ready the model # i can only see the serial #.

I think you can see the Serial on the freeze plug at the back of the motor in the upper middle area...
