Are you running with the stock rear end in that car? If so, be careful... Very careful. Those small diffs don't like nitrous much at all. ;)

Yea I've heard people putting slicks on and blowing their rearends first time out. I'm not going to use it on the street period, won't even have the bottle in the car. The rear has been gone through, and it has 3.73's, the guy said it was in good shape so we'll see. Its more of an experiment for me, as I've never done it before. Worst comes to worst I'll just sell it down the road.

Heh no really, I don't see the need too. Maybe when I get the time and money to get a forged bottom end :D
i slapped a 150,000+ mile 351w into a 70 ford Maverick with the tiny 7-1/4" spicer rear and then proceeded to spray a 125 shot over and over to the tune of 12.90's and 13.00's all day long with no problems.i ran a slick and hit the juice as soon as it hooked up lol easily went through 20 bottles on that car before i pulled it apart for some serious power.I had like $700 in the car and it was a blast.Don't be skeert of the juice,it's awesome!

As long as your jetting and timing are correct, you hypereutectic/cast bottom end will suck up that 150 shot without issue... It's when the tune gets off or people get greedy with the the N2O jet that makes thing go array... If it don't detonate or get lean, you'll be OK with the amount that you spoke of...

10.5 , I thought you engine was a ZZ4 but I saw where you went with a standard 350... The zz4 is a fine engine , and I don't know what your set up is comprised of... Anyway, if it is in good condition with decent parts you should be OK.. If you can make your power under 6,000 rpm, the centrifical force and bearing load from rpm's alone will be more than the load from horsepower, so I would just concentrate on an accurate tune... A lot of times the horsepower isn't what tears alot of engines up, it's the rpm's it had to turn to make the hp, especially naturally aspirated engine...

hey 10.5, nice ride, my buddy had has?? a 82 crossfire z with a 400hp 355, arizona car, very very fast! you should look into painting the window washer and rad. overflow tanks, they look better painted, than the old yellowed plastic. i painted my old s10's tanks and they looked 100% better. just a suggestion though. good luck and be carefull, thats a nice car for a young guy. :)

I brought her in on the hook tonight :o Actually my dads expedition and a rope :D I was just getting ready to try it out, in a nice open parking lot, when it just died. I messed around in the dark and there is no spark what so ever. I can't figure it out  Its got a brand new billet distributer, cap, coil, rotor, module, EVERYTHING! All I can think of is the previous owner had tried to wire in keyless entry and a remote starter, and messed with the fuse box. I did the best I could with the wiring, but I did notice that there was no friggin relay in the box for the ignition, and theres supposed to be one :( I think I'm just gonna rewire the friggin thing instead of going through a 20 year old wiring mess. Worst comes to worse I know a couple mechanics that will do it for beer :p My dad owned the car for 6 years before he gave it to me on my 16th birthday. It was owned by the son of a local car dealership, so it was treated pretty good. I take care of my stuff, and he knew I wouldn't be dumb with this one. Kinda broke his heart when I ripped out the ol' 305. but I took him for a ride in the 355 and he wasn't heart broken anymore  Only reason I can afford it is because I do it all myself, and some very knowledgable buddies help me out. And about the bottles, I was thinking of removing the windshield washer all together, I don't think I used it once this summer. I also hate where the pump is mounted. And I have a new overflow tank comming, you can still get em from gm  Also on the list this winter is a set of trick flow heads, air gap intake, and when my tax return comes in the spring a lot of tranny work, it shifts like poo (as in it was just a stock rebuild, with a stock monte carlo converter)

sleep on it. it most likely something simple. first thing i would check is the ignition module. autozone (if you have one nearby) checks them for free. also if you have an aftermarket tach, check and see if the wire going through the firewall to the tack grounded out. if it did it will kill the car and take the module with it. had it happen to me and a bud one night years ago in an nova with a 350.

This is an hei distributor, and it was supposed to be tested to 8500 rpm, maybe I got a dud? Tommorow I'll go through the junk and see if I have another one sitting around. When I went back into the garage to try and mess with it again, I lost the whole gauge cluster lights. Makes me thinking maybe a bad ground?

8500 rpm my a$$. I wired just 12 volts right off the battery, still no spark. I swapped coils, still nadda. Switched igintion modules and she ran like a champ :D Well I'm off to go throw the module through the store window, later ;)
