I have been lookin all over for Synthetic Pennzoil 2 stroke oil in Canada with very little success. I have a lead on some from one of my parts suppliers but could use some help from fellow high performance boaters that have already found it here in Canada.

If anyone knows where I can buy it off the shelf please let me know...

I work in the states a lot of the time and bring it home with me. I've never found it here. That being said, I can bring home lots more than I do and could probably get you some. I stock up over the winter. Where are you located?
Let me know If I can bring you some. I thinks it's around $23-$24US a jug.

Never mind, I just read your location.

I've read hours and hours of pissing matches regarding the synthetic oils. I have access to amsoil @ dealer cost but have read more negatives than positives. The vast majority of my reading points me to penzoil. What are your thoughts and what do you run?

Well, MY opinion is as follows:

Pennzoil is a fine oil, I would and have run it. To me it is a mid line oil. Great price.
Amsoil I HATE, most engine builders I know hate it also. It runs very very dry....... that being said I run it in my sleds because it is easy to get. And I replace my sled every year....... it has a warranty so I don't care.

I am with Greg, Alisyn. It is the best oil on the market, it is spendy but so are pistons rings and blocks and cranks. Been using it for years..... most big race teams use it too...... that speaks volumes.

Klotz and Redline are good too.

The Pennzoil full synthetic is not available at major retailers because the bottles are not bilingual. The market is apparently too small for Pennzoil to re-label for Canada.

I was told by Klotz that their Snowmobile Techniplate is essentially identical to their outboard oil. It is also easier to find in Canada. Winner's Circle were the Canadian distributor last time I checked.

Hope this helps.

Intersesting. I tried hard a couple years ago and it was not available at that time. Or I couldn't track it down. The bilingual label story was from one of Pennzoil Canada's sales reps.

Heard about them from a fellow S&F'er & ordered two cases (4 Gallons per case) of Pennzoil 100% Synthetic...to Bash's door.... for $159.00.
Thats $20 US dollars a gallon. WestMarine here is 28 + Tax. Save 10 Big Ones a Gal & dont have to lug it home.
They must ship to "foreign countries"... like Canada ???? :rolleyes:http://img453.imageshack.us/img453/7682/devil2gj.gif (http://imageshack.us)

The only thing Bash cant understand is why you need to buy it "off the shelf".

Bash served 4 years protecting the U.S.
Bash understands. Bash is not afraid.

Don't need to buy it "off the shelf", but it would be nice to have it readily available. If I can't find any next month when I visit your country, I'll order some online. Thanks for the help guys.
