go for the stv. i ran a 17ft. laser ltv which was light lay. with a 2.4 merc and best i ran was 83 we took motor off after i wrecked it and set it on my buddys stv euro 4 seater and watched him run 93 with a 29 hoss. if it was my money there would be no question, go for the stv.with your motor on it you should be in the 115 range
good luck man

I have a light Seebold Warrior and with a 2.4 carb I saw 92 mph. It has deeper tunnels than the STV so it's a good rough water boat. I have a 2.5 carb on it now and I saw 101 mph yesterday. I like mine very much. A few years ago I ran it in the 12 second class for St. Louis drag boat association too. I ran it with a 26 Yam copy at Lake Kosh and turning 7500 it ran 89.9 mph in 1000 feet. Just some info to think about. Tom
