Do They Ever Have Any Races In Or Near Miami

First SBI Offshore Race of the year is in Miami in May
There are also races in Ft Lauderdale, Dania Beach, Deerfield Beach all within 45 minutes of Miami

Also 2 in Marathon les than 2 hrs from Miami

I can remember the days when the Offshore races ran right through Government Cut. You could stand on the rocks at South Beach and breath the race gas fumes as the boats roared by!! They also used to have races at Miami Marine Stadium every year with the Tunnel Hulls and Jersy Skiffs. They were a blast to watch from the stadium or by boat. I think Hurricane Andrew damaged the stadium and it's never been repaired!! What a shame. It was really cool watching Miss Budweisser, Miller American, Miss Madisson, etc. battle it out at 180+ mph down the straights!!
