broke a ring on my 2.4 200,cylinder looks ok,has excellent compression on the other 5 cylinders. Is it possible to pull piston and change ring without taking it down to the bare block?I have heard of going behind the reed cage to get to the rod bolts,is this is possible and how hard would it be to re-torque the rod bolts? Thanks for any help.

I've done it, along with many others. You just have to be
very careful to make sure the rod caps are on correct.
Good luck.

it's easier to do with a seven petal front than it is to do with a five petal horizontal but it can be done, take special care like the other post said and do the rod cap carefully, i found that using a thin extension and a thin wall socket will aid in this procedure due to the rod cap being lower in the opening than you would like and the angle you have with the way the front half is staggered on a five petal compared with a seven petal........just some thoughts fer ya.......skip
