Ok, the 300 mile races at Parker is right around the corner. It's open to any open cockpit boat 22' and under.
Who's going and what are ya running?
We are Team Short Bus Racing and were are running a 1975 vintage Spectra 20' v drive in division #2.
I know alot of you guys would fit right in so if ya want it's still not to late to get in on the fun.
Here is a copy - paste of the division breakdowns. I got this info from www.********************
Div. #1. Small outboard V-Bottom & Tunnels (min. length 14’-max length 17’11”) SLT's of 13' or more. Engines shall be of the shifter type and shall have a working forward neutral-reverse gear-case.
Cracker boxes, Jersey Speed Skiffs, Tri-hulls and SLT's may be raced in this division..
Div. #2. Inboard V-bottoms/Production I/O’s,510 cu.in. max, 18’ to 22’-nostalgia Inboard flat-bottoms-jet boats (must be equipped with a rudder that extends at least 4 inches below the jet nozzle and has a minimum surface area of 16 inches. Jet-a-vator type adjustible nozzles may be used but must remain in the down position at all times when in pit row and shall remain in the down position until safely back on the race course. All engines in DIVISION 2 must be naturally aspirated.
Div. #3. Single engine outboards with a standard type fishing "club foot" (water pick-up above the prop shaft) lower units and single ALPHA DRIVE ONLY equipped production engine inboard/outboards. (No turbochargers or superchargers, no nose cones, no Speedmasters on any lower unit in Div #3). It is felt that these boats will not be able to sustain speeds of over 75 mph and the intent is to open the rules enough to entice river racers who have wanted to race but never had racing type equipment. Div #3 was previously restricted to bass boats, but is now open to other boats of similar speed ability.
Div # 4. V-BOTTOM PRODUCTION OUTBOARD: must comply with current ski race rules. Prop shaft must be no higher than the bottom/pad of the boat, as measured from center of the prop-shaft.
Div. #5. MODIFIED V BOTTOM PRODUCTION OUTBOARD: (prop-shaft must be run a minimum of 2 inches below the bottom of the boat/pad, measured from center of shaft).
Divl. #6. PRODUCTION INBOARDS, I/O’S, AND OUTBOARDS (single & multi): Minimum length of 18’ and maximum length of 22’6”. Boats in this class may use supercharged or turbo charged engines.
