First post R mods possible 97 115 60* johnny

Is there anything I can do to make my 97 115 60* johnny motor run a little stronger. Thought about boyesens but don't know if that would help much..

You could always have the heads cut to use the highest octane fuel you have around.

What hull,prop,and prop shaft hight are you running?Proper set up will result in significant overall performance almost as much if not more than some basic modifications to your motor.I would first remove your VRO oiling system and run pre-mix oil and gas.Im sure you will get a lot of valuable info from this site,welcome.

I bought a Glastron C-500 and put a '76 Johnrude 135 on it. It went 42 mph. By the time I finished all the modifications to the motor and the boat, it would run 65 mph. Same hull, same motor, same prop. With a taller prop, it would just clip 70. :cool:
