need heilp with motor problem

I have a 1993 260 that has been cut to a 300 drag spec. by jim ruck .it will only turn 8200 rpm with a 22 chopper even when it was a 260 it still wouldnt turn past 8200 rpm.I have tryed a different ecu but the problem is still there. The eci had a 48 chip in it i put a new stater,trigger and switch boxes.I have also put new 3/8 efi fuel line on the pump and have checked the pick up tube in the tank,had injectors cleand.I have a cdi box with the fuel curve set at 103 which i have been told is fine ,timeing set at 25 degreese.the motor is on a mirage ski/ racer.Does anyone have any suggestions thanks jeff

what cc heads are you running?

How about your wirring set up? Are you getting a good supply of 12 volts to the motor.

Bill mason had a problem getting motors to rev and his problem ended up being where the 24 volts system was wired to his trim motor. It was causing to much voltage to the ecu.

26 cc heads only have a 12 volt system. I have checked the battery and tack.

Hve done a leak down test or a comp. test yet

You had the injector's cleaned .Did you have them flowed?

What are you using that is common between the 2 motors

Same fuel pump?
Have you checked the fuel pressure?
