We had ourselves a little S&F rally here in Washington last weekend and I got my first chance to see, hear, and ride in a boat with a 225HO Etec:

A Stoker SST rigged by none other than Racer.

I must say I was impressed.

It isn't a race motor per say, but it sure seems to run sweet and pulls like a mutha (he ski's with a 30" Bravo I 4-blade)

Thanks for the ride Jim, very nice boat and motor package

It seemd to be hitting the limiter around 6k near 85mph, no low water pickups but the front of the lower had somewhat of a cone

At first, skiin' with 30 inch prop (a 4-blade bravo I no less) seems impossible, but then I remembered that's a 3.3 litre motor. To put it in perspective, that's 32% bigger than my 2.5 litre promax. Still impressive though.

I really like that yellow rig. Post some more pics if you got 'em. Thanks

I've seen a bernico here also with two etec's on it. Runs smooth and is quite fast!
