The boat is a DeSilva "Delta" 12' 10" F class...the boat that made PRO outlaw tunnel hulls (current rule says no sponson longer than 60% of overall boat length). Weighs about 110 pounds. 62" wide over all.

As DeSilva built it, the center pod is pretty wide and had a step at about 25% from the front. I could never get the step to cause any effect except bad chinewalking if it touched at high speed (50+) so I cut it off. Unbelievably the boat could not turn even with all that bottom and asymetrical tunnels (left tunnel is shorter but has an air trap the same depth as the right tunnel). I actually left the left inside edge of the front step and added a little built in fin to the left side of the center pod.

It never runs real light so I'm considering adding some stuffing to the back of the tunnels to give more tail lift. Right now it is 4" deep. Or maybe chopping off the center pod 12-16" before the back to give some set back effect.

Any comments or suggestions?

Angelfire throws a block on auto link to the image but you can cut and past to it:

The girl in green outfit and denim hat wearing hearing protection is my daughter. She's securing my paddle or something....I did get it back from her.

A few more at my buddy Dan's site. Look under the photo links on the left. Pics were from Denton 2001
