My question is, is a big ear designed for a heavier boat and a small ear for a lighter boat? I have ran several big ear Chopper's on my bassboat but was thinking bout trying a small ear to see what it'll do. My hull weigh's 1600 lbs., running a TorqueMaster gearcase so I can't raise the motor super high but the Choppers I've ran have been the fastest props on my boat.
Thanks,
Chris
Yes, exactly. A big-ear would be best, possibly with some tuning and modification.

The small ear choppers were actually designed for the inline engines. The larger blades of the big ear choppers were designed for the higher torque of the v6's. That being said, a small ear chopper often works great on a light boat with a V6. Less blade area = better acceleration if theres no loss of efficiency, and less bow lift on a boat like a HydroStream that has lots of it's own bow lift.

Thanks for the info guys. Guess I'll stick with the Big Ear Chopper's to play around with.
