I may be buying a house on a lake in Brevard County...if the owner accepts the offer I made today....if he does I won't have money to buy gas for any of the toys!! But I'll try and keep my promise to buy the first keg of beer for Saturday night at the Meet.

Skater Mike....of course you can come too.....everyone is welcome......well almost everyone, not enough room for 40+ foot Super Boats ???

Wish I could make this one. NO go for me.

BL, I have a spare water ski you can strap to that 2.6 super-charged-turbo-double-widdened-port-paper-plate-for-a-flywheel-tuner-less-4-barrel-carbed-screamer of a motor, in case the Lund has drifted off to that other-owner-on-the-water buyer.

H2O, Ruble Ready, I like your Rumble dedication. I'm sure you can hitch a ride on the water. Wish I could meet you.

Wildman, I sure think you know how to paint. Nice looking ride. I really like the lines of the 24.

Talon2.5, do you have a series of scream-tunes painted on the talon? You know like the WWII flying ace's.

Hey Way, are you going to the Rumble?

Wish I could...

B.Leonard

Paper plate for a flywheel! LOL!! http://www.planetsmilies.com/smilies/happy/happy40.gif

You need to move down before a test missle veers off course on that test range up there! :D

FL is where it's at!

Wouldn't ya know, I get the V4 back on the Lund, screamin&flyin, having fun, now some guy WANTS this motor! The guy that wanted the entire boat changed his mind, said he's "just not the boating type"!

Wish I could make the Rumble, but as it looks now I doubt it. My 4cyl S-10 tops out at about 65-68mph on level ground. I would get run off the interstates. Besides it is not easy trying to get away from my demanding 27+ or- pets for more than a few hours !! My life as a zoo keeper conflicts with my interest in boat racing (and everything else !!)

Hey don't knock the paper plate, w/ a little elmers, the magnets stick great.

Missles leave really cool streamers in the sky....

Way, at least you'll never be lonely. Enjoy the central get together.

Nut, I'll e-ya. Got a couple of questions for you. Won't that be a bit of a cost w/ the three dogs? Yowsa. You should get the award for the most pets left at home - at the kennel. we'll take-up a collection for you....

way too fast - if you need anything please let me know (ziemer's wife) - i work from home and am willing to help!!! ;)

skip - about the t-shirts - it's actually really simple... i assume you already have the artwork - if it needs polishing for print - no big deal - i'll take care of that for you. i just need the artwork, the size you want it, how you want it, colors if any, and what kind of shirt, sweatshirt, tote bag, etc. you want. it is that easy!!! prices range depending on what your looking for and all. to set up your screens for print, it's a one time fee of $15.00 for each color, each side... once that is paid we have the screens forever and you can make as many shirts or whatever else as you want. normally the minimum for screening is 12 but there are other methods that we can use such as heat press and that doesn't require a minimum... we try to make this as simple as possible. let me know if you have any other questions - we will be out sunday as long as the sun stays shinin'...

:p lanelle

Ziemer
02-07-2002, 09:43 PM
Skip,

From disk is fine as long as it is saved as JPEG, GIF, or Corel. The one time fee for screens is $15.00 (per color). Or I can also find out what it would be for a heat press, which is no minimum. We will most likely be out on Alligator on Sunday, so if you want to bring it out we can take it from there.

Rick: The 4 cyl S10 is leased so I can't hop it up. (no wonder why the lease payments were so low !!)

H20Nut: Pets....I have 2 dogs, a squirrel, a mouse, a skunk, a rooster, 5 ducks, 6 turtles, 100's of fish, and 11 screaming, jealous, demanding, food flinging, feather plucking PARROTS. The last time I went away for a couple of days my neighbor cared for them all.....she almost had to be taken away to the "funny farm" by the time I got home.......found out that it is simplier just to grin and bear it and stay home myself.

Would anybody be interested in having a live band under the pavillion? I know a local band called,"Slow Motion Walter" that
would do 4 hours of music for $300.00. Thirty people would be $10.00 each. They play 70s and 80s rock & roll and blues. Just a thought to spruce up the evening. :D

The Band idea sounds good to me...however you would have to check with the motel owner (407 892 3195). The covered pavillion isn't very large. I don't know what the neighboring home owners might have to say. Check it out.

HydrostreamDave

I just talked to Dan the owner, and he didn't seem to think that there would be any problem if they played from 6-10pm. He's going to check with the neighbors a few houses down on both sides and I'll call him back the middle of next week. He asked how many people might be attending.........I took a guess at 30, but if you could get an accurate count, that would be great.
Parking is limited at the motel as far as vehicle's with trailers,
but he owns another lot about a half mile down the road which we can use and run a shuttle service. He also asked about food. They sell pizza, wings and beer at the motel, but said the menu could be expanded for our group. He said he could have a person
cook for us on that big 'ol Bar-B-Que grill if we wanted.......maybe chicken and ribs? Could you maybe post a poll to find out how many people would be in attendance, how many want to do the band and how many for the food and what kind? Any problems give me a call (407) 846-8278. Thanx, Dave

Use the Hooker motor mount adapters, or I can make you some. I have the Hooker Headers on mine right now($100 used, :-)), but I hate em. I'm plannin on some Hedman long tubes one of these days. I've done some swaps with manifold, and some with headers, and my choice is the Hedman long tubes. Use a late 70s GM full size truck radiator, solder some wingplates to the sides of the tanks and bolt it up to the core support for a foolproof secure rad mounting, and you'll have to put in a tstat to see the temp gauge move. I use the Flexalite 418 fan with vbelt drives, but I prefer serpentine drives. I have one for my truck, along with A/C that's going to be installed one of these days. My truck has a 325 horse 350, a 700R4, and I narrowed a 9" for it too, but I want to sell the 9" and go 12 bolt Chevy. I'm looking for a housing and brakes now. I already have a posi chunk and I'll get good axles. I would definitely recommend moving the battery back under the bed, and using P/B, and P/S. The stock rear end will hold up to fair amount of abuse if it has a posi and ya don't put slicks on it with lots of power, it's basically the same as the late model Camaro rear. If you need any answers or pics of what works, let me know, I've done quite a few of these V-8 S10 swaps, along with small block and big block Vegas, and tubbing and caging out several different kinds of cars too.

I'm just about totally computer illiterate so I have no idea on how to post an official poll on this site. Anyone out there who knows how ?? I'd go for the band, but since I'm a vegetarian, only the pizza and beans would interest me. I have to speak with Dan, the Inn owner. I said that I will supply a keg of beer for Saturday night, but since he sells beer, I may have to have him get it for me. Questions for a poll: 1. How many plan to attend?
2. What brand beer do you want?
3. What type food for the cookout?

There are only 12 or 15 rooms at the Inn, so regardless of what some "not so swift" employee says, you should get your reservations in early. They have 1 room studios, 2 room studios and 3 room studios. Regular prices are $45, $55, and $65 and $5 for non guests to use ramp. But I was promised a discount depending on how many rooms we book. I'm reserving my room tomorrow (Monday) The place doesn't look to classy from the outside, but the owner put a lot of work into the rooms and restaurant and it's nice inside. I think it will be a fun time for all !!

02-11-2002, 04:20 PM
I think if we have our base at Alligator Lake, we should spend both days there instead of going to East Lake and fighting the Sunday boat traffic and wakes. East L is fine for the bigger boats, But I for one wouldn't want to be running 100+ and come face to face with a set of "rollers" that come out of nowhere on that lake. For waterskiing and jet skis, East L is fine. Besides that lake lacks places to gather at. The water is a bit chilly to stand around in and shoot the bull. Goat Island could be renamed "Tick Island". I'm not saying that Alligator has any good beach areas, but it sure has a lot less traffic.

I fell once at about 55~60 and thought my eyeballs were going to come out of their sockets, and thought I ripped my foot off (high wrap boot). I was limpin and leerin for about a week. 100MPH??? You must be joking (Or crazy):D :D :D

You sign a waiver and I'll pull! Gotta get it on video in case you die! Wait fo glassy water and stay outside the wake. NOOO PROBLEM!

I've done 84 mph before. If you wear a wetsuit, you just skip when you fall. It does'nt really hurt. You just can't f--- around, and stay outside the wake,[and roostertail!]

Lots of Luck......Falling off at high speed......it's not the "skipping" across the water thats bad.....it's when you SLOW down enough and DIG IN.......ouch !!!!

Sounds good to me, we'll trailer up together. You're in St. Pete right? I can meet up with ya anywhere on I -75? I'm an early bird so would like to leave Sarasota probably around 6AM to put me in/ around St. Pete 6:30 or so..... How long a ride? got any idea? My trailers in pretty good shape so I can keep up w/ you guys on the road anyway;) Lookin' forward to meetin' all you guys & learnin' all I can. I actually went out and registered my boat today, since I'm comin' up there. I've been runnin' 3X the speed limit in the ICW so I guess it would'nt hurt to have a valid sticker huh? 82 GPS today......gotta get my prop tweaked out a little more. I think I'm about at the limit of my ponies though.......
Be scared to put anything bigger on this hull. Well see you all up there.............

About 1.5 to 2.0 hours driving I-4 from St Pete. Ahould come over I-275, you'll be in our backyard. At that time in AM closer to 1.5 hours doing the speed limit.

Speaking of registration stickers......got my new one and it's GREEN....doesn't go with my boat colors.....so I'll be keeping the orange one. Never seen much (if any) Patrols on the Gator Chain anyway.
