This is for my friend Jim Carter, who does'nt have time to play on a puter.
He used to be an STV dealer and still has his personal demo rig, and has dicided to sell it.
The whole rig is '95 and has never been titled! Has been stored inside since new.
It is a STV River Rocket (I think) with one seat forward and two rear. Has a OMC Limted Edition Looper that is box stock other than the rev limiter being un-plugged.
The rig has maybe 10 hrs total??
The boat is done in gray and silver to match the motor.
The entire rig is, as new!
Jim rigged this boat him self and he is more anal than I am!
He brought it to last years Rumble and let me make a couple of passes with it, it ROCKS!
I had never driven a "real" tunnel boat before and was leary of blowing over Jims boat while showing off in front of the beach :)
Jim ran it first and then handed it over to me. He said, and I quote, "the boat is balanced pretty well the way it is. If you want, you don't even need to run the trim".
I did'nt!
It turned a 29" SRX 7400 RPM's w/o me touching the trim!
The speedo did'nt work, but running it through the prop calculator comes up, 99 - 101 depepnding on slip.
Jim says, 100 with the 29" SRX and 103/4 with a 32" Spinelli.
Anyhow, talked to Jim a couple weeks ago and he says its still for sale @ $15K.
Here's the best part. He says if its one of you guys, he would let you make payments!!!
Not sure what he is thinking, but my guess is, make oaymenst until delivery in Spring.
Those that met him and saw the boat at last years Rumble know this thing is flawless, and that Jim is also one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet.
Oh yeah, plus he is good at making JohnRudes run :)
