i would use the 24p chopper and if you have a nose cone already set the bullet even with the pad and see how it does. if you dont have a cone you are limited to the engine height. i would also try a lightning et, and a trophy. they seemed to work good on that boat.

I would get used to the Chopper 24 will have good power but a 26 pitch would probably be ideal with a good set up if the motor is stock.

I liked a lightning et cut on mine , and a mazco RE 3. both props ran great. if you buy a merc prop you will have to have a machine shop drill out the splines to fit your OMC. some people do it themselves with a 1 inch hole saw coming in the back side. The measurement is 1 and 1 1/8 of an inch of splines to have left after the drilling.

However those actions like the propshaft even with the pad. I used to run my action 2.5 sky high. and it loved it.

with the weight of that motor and the bow lift of an action i would say you don't need very much set back. 5 inches or so would be fine.

Those 2.6 liters had a boat load of tourque. It should be fun.

by trying different engine heights and set back. but this will be very time consuming and at times misserable. unless you know someone that is good at this stuff that will give you a hand
