i am concidering buying a 1970 aquasport 222 its called a flatback. That means the last 10' of the boat is flat no strakes no center keel nothen. weight is 1,700.
My boat now is a 2003 17'2" keywest bay boat. I put a pad on the boat last year. the boat weights 1,500 lbs.
Both boats would have the same motor a warmed up 1989 225 hp jonnyrude. my current setup will run 63mph on gps with a full tank and all my fishing stuff. 1" below the pad w/ a 24 pitch 4-blade with heavy cupping.
Both boats same motor same fishing stuff only 200lbs. differance between them. Which boat would be the best proformer for top speed and handleing. please help me deside. :confused:
