I have a Gambler Intimidator(19'6") with a Stock 2000 Model Mercury 200EFI motor with Torquemaster Lower unit(1.87). The Prop shaft is 3" below the pad with a 6" set back plate on it. The prop that was on the boat is supposedly a 4 blade Spinelli through the Hub prop with NO ventilation holes in it(Was a POOCH out of the hole). The prop has a spun hub right now .. I know most people like the Trophy Plus 26P on the Gambler/200hp combo but I was just curious about the chopper... I remember back in the late 80's we had a TideCraft Inferno with a MAriner 200 on it with a 28P Big Ear Chopper on it and it worked great... Real good Holeshot and great top end...
Just curious and looking for some input on the pros and cons of these two Props and what everyones experience has been with either or both... I am naturally looking for the unobtainable in a prop: Great holeshot even loaded with 2 persons and fishing gear, efficient cruise and a great top end..... Aren't we all....
