Has anyone ever seen a Tillman Drag prop HUB that looks like it is either to short for the prop or it is pushing out on the prop-nut side, the reason I ask is there is a gap between the prop and the HUB on the gearcase side and looks like it is inset to far? If this don't make sense or no one has seen this I can take a PIC. and post it later, But I thought somone might say it is normal. I just got the prop and I have never seen a Tillman before to know THANKS

The hubs in Yamaha style drag props are designed to use a thrust washer that fits into the front of the prop (gearcase side) to support the prop. The gap you see is to allow the thrust washer to fit inside. Make sure you are using the correct Yamaha style thrust washer.

If you have any questions about the prop, I would recommend calling Steve Tillman.

I hope this helps,

Don,
Steve Tillman does prop work for many fast lake guys and LOTS of very quick drag racers. I do not think he has a web site.
