I'm putting a twister/ssm together on a Carlson challenger, whats a good starting point for the propshaft height.

As a starting point I'd try the top of the torpedo (not the tip or point but the top) even with the bottom of the sponsons.

Here's how I ran mine. Any higher with the Carlson flat bottom, let off the gas to fast and 'round you go :eek:. Cavitation was a lot less here and it was more fun to drive and it was still plenty fast. :D Note where the bottom of the trim brackets are to the top of the transom. Hope this helps :D .

I'd go with what raceman said on that Challenger. Here is a pic of the ssm on my Allison. It's right on the cone.....but it's an Allison.... ;)
