As topic: I finally got my jack-bracket today and it looks awesome!
I was just wondering about something that has to do with the mounting of it:
In the specs it says that I should use 8 bolts on the frame and 8 bolt on the the plate to mount the engine, witch is a Merc 2.5EFi 280..
Is this really nessesary? Seems abit overkill to me...
I was thinking of using 4 bolts on the frame and the same on the plate...And use a 3-4-5mm Stainless-plate on the inside of the boat to even out the pressure on the back of the boat(if you know what I mean here... )
Any response will be appreciated!!

I`m putting up a picture as well...yeah I know its a bad one, but i had to change the size of the pic myself...:p

You are right. 4 bolts will be sufficient. (We run a 18" Stain. Mar. Offshore setback with no probs. ) Use aluminum for a backing plate instead of the stainless...lighter.http://img343.imageshack.us/img343/6159/devil3fo.gif

Thanks for the answer...can`t wait to get this thing on the back of the boat!:D
Sure the aluminium will hold? Maybe use a thick slice of it..
