Just set the powerhead last week, will have to use the existing decals until I can have some repro's made. Everything else is new DuPont ChromaOne, still need to do some more buffing to get the shine like I want it. Can't wait to fire her off here pretty soon....
The drool is going to be flowing over that attachement!!

Eric, I sure missed the boat when I didn't buy those two when you were willing.

and hung on to them both. The money is not that important, relative to the history and uniqueness of these old gems. Once I get this one mounted on the Raveau, I doubt I'll ever go to any of the other engines I bought for the boat. That's a '62, 76 ci 850 in the background, the chances of it getting mounted on the transom are slim.

Do you have any pictures of your Raveau to post?
I read with great interest the article in HOT BOAT
on the history of the Raveau; They are neat boats. What kind of speeds have you seen and what motor are you running now? Do they have a 15 inch transom or are they 20. Is that considered a flat bottom? The XS looks great; I wish I would have kept my 850XS but the boat was way underpowered with it.

NelsonCat, here's the 16' Raveau on Christmas Day, just picked it up on the 23rd. The boat has a "Z-Plane" hull, same design used on most Stingray boats. Has a 4" notch in the pad, and 10" afterplanes (will have to get some pics of that). I had Bob Walwork, the builder install a 22" transom, that should put the propshaft just under the pad. The boat weighs about 500#. It has an 18 gal. built in tank under the deck.
Right now I am still fitting it out with Sea Star Pro steering, Gaffrig gauges and InControl shifter and foot throttle. The XS is just about finished, hope to start it in a week or so.
I expect it will be a solid 70-75 mph ride, as the I 6 100 hp Mercs are capable of 55-60. Will know for sure with the Gaffrig GPS speedo. Hopefully, I'll have it all finished by March 1st!

That is going to look trick with that XS on the back!! What kind of prop are you going to run?
I would love to see some pic's of the hull details. Thank you so much for posting the picture. I'm going to dig out that Hot Boat issue and read it again.

intend to turn it an easy 6000 or so, want to preserve the engine, and that should be plenty fast. Will post a pic of the hull.
