Water Ski Racing behind aircraft

I have a skier, a racing boat and a suitable aircraft to tow the skier at about 50 knots above the water. Firstly, the boat towes the skier and then the aircraft passes the rope to the moving skier and takes over the tow.
I know it has been done in the USA, however, I need more detail information from someone that has done it.
Can you help.
