7 peddle front half conversion

I'm putting a older non oil injected front half onto a block that did have oil injection. Well the small space that is cut out for the gear drive makes it so the cork gasket will not seal.. What is the way to make a good reliable seal.. Just goop on the GELSEAL??

I know I'm not the first person to try this... What is the accepted fix??

Not sure I'm getting what you are asking but most people fill the dead space for the oil pump with epoxy. I'd rough it up , epoxy it and then file it flat and install with gel seal. The area never really seals unless you are running a 9 ring crank with all the rings and you epoxy in the pump area anyway. If you are running a 7 ring or 8 ring crank , just install it as is.
