I'm looking at rigging a 24' boat w/ dual OBs for my next project. What OB brackets do you guys recommend for a dual setup (3.0L Mercs)? Preferably, I want a 1 piece unit. Also, w/ the weight of 2- 3.0L s on the back of a 24' boat, I don't need a ton of setback. Probably 10"-12". Any other suggestions or tips are appreciated.

Also, I see some dual OB boats w/o tie bars. If I'm not going to hammer it out in the ocean, is a tiebar required?

Is this a Cat or a V?? What would be your speed estimate? Run the tie bar. 10-12 is quite a bit of setback.

It's a V hull. Speed should be in the 09-95 mph range. Your right, I won't need anything 10-12" of setback with that much weight on a 24' v.
What brackets are out there beside Gil?
