"I'd counter the torque steer problem from both the skeg and the steering. Don't try and get neutral torque steer with just a tab cause it will over stress the skeg. Get the hydraulic steering, just keep an eye out on e-bay, they always show up from time to time.

Besides the hyd. steering and gauges will make it so much nicer to drive, that constant head turning to see where you're motor is trimmed/jacked gets real old after a while.

I found this post by B Leonard ? I put hydraulic steering for my looper. Now does this mean that I can put the steering tab back strait? And if so will this add a little speed? Right now it's set the way I had it to counter the pull from the manual steering.

I always recommend optimising your steering with cable before going hydraulic. With hydraulic, it's still there, you just don't feel it as much. I'd leave it the way you have it.

Thanks Rickracer, funny that your the dealer that sold me it. :D The marina said that your prices are the best they seen. They said they were going to use you in the future. Thanks!

We are going to try to maintain our SeaStar Pro "group purchase" pricing going as long as our supplier will allow it. I'd been after them for years to cut us some deals like that, so we could sell more systems. I think they're glad they did. :D
