Finally have enough snow. Flying down the lake at over 110 mph on a snowmachine, what a rush. You southerners don't know what you are missing. For less than $5000 US, you can have a good reliable machine that can run over 100 mph any time you want. Sure fills the void when the boat is in storage up here.

with ProComp. I live in central Wisconsin and we should be buried in snow right now; instead we have maybe 6" and mild temps. The snowmobile related businesses are really hurting because there is virtually no place around that has decent snow for riding except for a small area of the U.P. I would normally have 1000 miles on by now but only have 4 from chasing the Kitty Cat around the yard.

I'm in SE michigan, no snow on the ground at all. Bought a sled trailer 3 days ago, waiting for more snow in northern MI, so I can go up there to ride. Polished and waxed the Polaris today, THINK SNOW is what we say...

I looked over at the Hydrostream, all covered up and sleeping, while I worked on the snowmobile, I smiled, remembering the summer.

Just checked the Tuesday Morning Weather E mail.
Mid to upper 30's all week and into the weekend.
I look forward to John Dee's snow forcast every
day (www.johndee.com) even he is not that excited any more about snow possibilities. I think this negative (poor winters) is having a serious positive impact on my reborn obsession with High Performance Outboarding. Not such a bad thing!!!!

P.S. The ZL600ESR, Pantera, Jag Deluxe, Kat Kutter, and the Kitty Kat are sleeping on a soon to be lost 6" of snow.

110mph on a snowmobile...cool!

What kind of gear do you guys wear? When I lived up north, used to ride my Honda St1100 110-120 all the time to work in sub freezing temps. I had an aerostich full suit with electric vest and electric gloves. Worked awesome, can't imagine what the wind chill is at that speed! :D

We have snow up here in Ontario Canada, but it is dissappearing fast. Lakes still have not froze enough to chance going for a blast down the ice. what a Crappy winter, The Skidoo has only had 100miles put on it so far this season. Last year at this time I was over 1000 miles! Guess boating season will be early this year.

You guys are just wishing you have water instead of an iceberg to play on. I think you are trying to pass away your time by feeling sorry for yourselves.

The wind chill factor at 110mph gives me goosebumps. I know you would rather be in a boat than thawing out a frost bite.

Thaw out guys summer will be here before you know it and you'll be happy again!

PS: I tested a new prop at the lake Saturday. The sun in my face felt good. Gained 4mph with this new prop...this is going to be a good summer!

I guess that is why we are so lucky to have such a diverse climate in the US. You guys who don't like snow and cold can stay down in mosquitoland.
Why is it so hard to believe that a person can love snow and cold? When I retire I plan to move farther north to a place with more winter and more snow. After all there are only 2 seasons in my book; winter and waiting for winter. I just happen to love boating while I'm waiting for winter. The other thing that is cool(no pun intended) about winter is you can always dress warmer; when its 100 degrees out you can only take so much off!
Be cool
