Took me two years and thousands of dollars, but I have finally unraveled the mess that a lieing theiving crook sold me! The fuel delivery system was a total mess. Very expensive parts, but set up all worng! This guy had the tunnel mount fuel tanks hosed up to 10 micron filters ($) up under the deck and then plumbed over to a $$$ automatic tank and gauge switch. Then it was plumbed down to a water separator over to a bosch EFI pump. From the pump to the engine there was no filter! No wonder the first motor had a clogged injector but was "claimed to be running fine! pop! Next two motors fried due to lack of fuel. Now I have tank to switch to 10 micron to red pump, to surge tank to EFI pump to 10 micron filter at rail. Works AWSEOME!!!! The 280 with 260 electronics PCU, mad intake works like a champ, just breakin in, had one spin up to 90mph after 6 hrs, Also found a twist in the shaft in the spline pushing on the crank. I was told turn key best-of-the-best. What a couple of moorons. Have to admit the guy was artistic though. Beautiful boat gelcoat designed by him and built by eliminator under Stoker license. Thx AL! massimmo cavalero and jock petrakis at American Star Marine have to be the stupidist lieing theives on the planet!!! They hosed me in court (they have a slimy lawyer) and he kept my broken motor. Claimed he threw it away. When I left the court room he laughed at me and said I'd never see the motor again!!! Like Dave S said. Hard to get justice when the law is on the side of the crooks. Oh well Time to move on. It IS an awesoms boat, it is mine and I love it!!!!
The previous owner didn't deserve it!!!

Did you buy that special carbon fiber boat he was selling?? I thought that guy was a customer of Jocks'. Were they partners or something?
Sounds like it was too frustrating to even enjoy working on the thing. :(
You're ready for the summer now. Keep it safe.

You would think they were partners! Both liars, both used same slimy lawyer, both moroons when it comes to rigging. Other things of shear stupidity, cable hoses to motor out the side of the well instead of the top, so guess what, now they lay on the well and rub the gelcoat off. Steering cables rigged in such a stupid way that they hit the steering rams and rub chunks of cable off. Can't re-route without new holes in the boat. Outsourced the stereo install (real capable individuals) and the idiots drilled holes through the bottom of the boat. Gauges are all different kinds and different bezels. But the boat itself is awesome! Thx to eliminator, Stoker, and Cavarello artistic design. Still have to admit the guy is an artist, but still a thief! When I bost it both guys "claimed 7400 was all se would turn "cause it was built to be reliable" as Jock claimed! Not! How would it ever do 105 as rthey claimed! I sure was a newbee when I bought it! That's why I payed 30K! Thoght I was getting a turn-key reference boat to learn on. Oh well let's move on! I happy, it an awsome boat!

I'll be over at cbar week end of 18 and 25 working on dialing in PCU!
Will also be there over the forth. Hunt me down!
I'll take some pictures of my fuel delivery and post!
Did Red pump into tank at top, out to efi at bottom and another out at bottom for return to main tank. T'd in return from rail outside of surge tank. Seems to work well so far!

Maybe Racer can set me straight but I thought the standard layup on the old ones was supposed to be 750lb.
I know yours is a special layup and wasn't sure how much difference there would be between yours and a standard one. I imagine yours would be a pretty solid boat even with the lighter weight.
