Rick,

You animal!!!!!!!!!! A guy's got to do what a guy's got to do. Talk about feeling your pain. I have props I want to try and can't wait to hit the water. I didn't even know those motors would run in weather like that.

Went boating a few weeks ago in 28 deg. Picked up 2mph.
(and that's at only 70mph)

Just got a bit dizzy as my body refused to inhale the cold air at full throttle. (I guess your helmet helped? )

Hope you had your fun, (sure had mine)

....Any time on the water is GOOD time on the water. I assume you let that bad Merc warm up REAL good before gettin on it. Did you notice much of any increase in snap and top end?

Cp

Sufka - Bring those props and the Ally down here. There's open water and ramp(s) on the river. Might as well get some testing done?

My lake is frozen over of course, but there is that one 100 yd. open spot by the bridge I may be able to float it on................

Skip,
That toon is ME, try to run the boat at least once a month, reguardless of the weather, didn't make it out in Dec river frozen. The picture of me with the jacket and helmet was in the boat in the middle of the river even though you couldn't see the boat we just finished a 101 GPS run

Woodco,

Sure does he just finished repairing the small transom crack, give him a call or let me know talked to him yesterday.

Hey Rick

I've boated down there in mid-February - tested a Warlock - but it was during a mid-winter thaw temp was in the 50's. But don't feel alone I sold my big boat ( SeaRay ) and in the process of buying a 34' Avanti. We are suposed to go out for a sea trial today in St. Joseph Michigan. They canceled yesterday because they said it was too cold - waiting to see if today is a go. Still have the Rapid Craft - no plans to sell that one.

I went out sat. too. It was cold here in Fl. too, it only got up to 78 yesterday! It was 60 at 9:00 when I went out. I ran 122 in the Liberator. I test on a small lake here, about 1 1/4 mile long. Got back to the ramp and some old guy was taking a million pics as I was pulling in. I figuered he liked my boat, WRONG. He says " what do ya think about runnin' that fast on this little lake?" I said "I think it's great, I'm not bothering anyone" He says,"well you're bothering me, and I'm sending these pictures to the sherriff's dept" I told him it was a public lake with no speed limits, so go ahead! He stood next to my truck as I pulled out so he could focus in on my license plate. WHAT A DICK! I should of told him to go back to his trailer park and fish off the dock! How many of you guys have had run-ins with these old dudes? They're bored, so they pick on us pleasure boaters. I wonder if he took pics of my gps? see-ya WILDMAN

As I pulled up to the dock to load the Conservation Officer came and got out of his car, I was the only boat on the river and he makes me show all my safety equipment, he was very pleasant but I was supprised he checked me, I thought he was going to give me a hard time cause I didn't quite slow down as I got to the "No Wake" zone hard to slow down at 100 but he never said a word. The Allisons back compartment opens from the rear, had to climb over the side to get my throw cushion (thought it was out of the boat) no harm no foul. Wildman when you going back to the same lake? Bring your sherrif buddy with you to piss of the old guy. LOL>
