hey guys, I have a question. I bought this boat out of new york last year off this website. it's a vector copy. I thought the boat was maufactured under the name sunsation but have contacted sunsation and they say they never built a copy....so the question is who built it. The registration (NY) says SUNSA as the manufacturer. I'm selling the boat and want to pass on the correct info... here is the ad at craigslist if you would like to see some pictures

who could I contact with the vin to find out the correct name it was manufactured under. thanks for the info.. and its turing a 26 raker at 6200 think thats about 68 at 90% efficiency......Rock on!:D
Its going because I have to pay nh property tax's:mad:

I know there were a number of Vector copies on Long Island, and I even saw a Vector mold in Deer Park once. I've personally seen three different copies in Long Island.

in the late 70s a boat co. called them self, sperit boats, they made a vector, we put a 150xs on it , first run, tore the seats off the floor, second run, the complete rubrail came off, third run, the hull seperated from the deck. then it went to the dumps. the fourth trip was to sea mar marine, to get a real hydrostream, and all was well after that,

The same guy who now builds the gambler bass boats built a vector copy back in the late 70's-early 80's The boat had a decent finish and interior. The main difference was the windshield didn't have the concave in it. The company was called sterling. There was one on here a couple of years back.

That Vector Mold in Deer park was at my old shop.
I was going to build some but the mold was too far gone

Hey progression,

I did the work...boat has come along way. Runs really well. Should make a great boat for someone.. thanks for clearing up the manufacturer issue. Kinda odd that sunsation power boats denied it but hey...ya never know! I'll get around to posting it in the classified section. ;) thanks guys
