What do you all think of his threat to take his big go-kart and go home
if Danica Patrick doesn't gain 100 lbs? Just stitched my opinion of the
crasher/whiner! Regards, Steve
I heard something about this. Bottom line, she is a rookie and prior to the indy 500, vegas odds would have had her in the wall before the end of the race. If he is scared of a girl, he needs to take his party dress and try a new sport. Why doesn't he try losing a few pounds if he is that worried about becoming Danica's Beeeoch.
Personally, I used to like open wheel many years ago. Just seems like it everyone there has PMS. When ever something goes wrong, it is always someone/everyone elses fault, when ever it goes right, the driver wants to talk about how great he is waaah waaah waaaah what a bunch of babies. I watch Nascar now and have not tuned into a cart or IRL races in years until this. I am glad a girl whipped a bunch of nancy-boys. If Robbie (or anyone else) is scared of a girl, he should take up golf with all the other sissies.

Watch it man. I'll whack you with my putter.

BTW There is easilly as much whining at NASCAR as anywhere else. I'm sending Junior a big hunk of chese.

Danica Patrick is the real deal and I figured as much earlier this year. Rahal is no fool. She has made several rookie mistakes but the woman can drive. I get a kick out of it everytime she beats a Foyt. Reminded of the time several years ago when AJ was in one of his boys ears yelling "you gonna let a girl beat you" LOL what an ignorant SOB.
Robbie Gordon is a pussy whose team is in dire straights and needs the publicity.

The ONLY!!! thing missing with that POS not racing was another dent in the wall!! How many years has he raced and never finished as high as Danica? If 50lbs made that much difference he should have gone on a diet years ago! :D

So just to play devils advocate here, IRL rules state that the car, less driver and fuel need to weigh 1535lbs (or something like that). in racing of ANY KIND who wants to be the first to give up 100lbs, or 25 lbs for that matter? in the 1/4 mile 100lbs is .10 of a second, a loss every time....so was he critisizing HER or the RULE? Granted the guys a putz, but he does have a point (and not the one on top of his head either)
in the 1/4 mile 100lbs is .10 of a second, a loss every time....
John Force is a bit portly and he manages to win a few 1/4 mile runs.
Actually, I see your point but the rule states what the vehicle weighs "less" driver which by inference the logical conclusion is the only parity the rule makers were attempting was vehicle weight- not total package. If package weight was their intent, they would be weighing with driver and adding weight to the vehicles of the thin drivers to make the parity Robbie Gordon now wants.
Michale Andretti was always a littly chunky himself and you never heard him whining that fittipaldi was thinner than he was.
I would hate to overcome a 100lbs deficit too, but I am not going to be such a P**sy that I cry and try to make them change the rules for me like Gordon is doing- Call Jenny Craig Beeeeoch!!!! Then again, if she wins every race, I am sure they will make a rule change regarding weight like the F1 guys did regarding engines when Senna and Prost were racing for McClaren Honda and ruled every F1 race.

Exactly, NHRA, NASCAR, ODBA, almost all sanctioning bodies weight requirement is for the "total package"....Personally, I would not spend millions of dollars to field indy cars to get beat out because i cant find a 50lb driver capable of driving my cars....kinda sucks unless you are the one with the light driver, of course its not a guaranteed formula for sucess...just saying that it would help to level the playing field in a sport already hurtin for participation....
BTW aparently Gordon is not the only one who has a problem with the weight rule, he is the only one with nothing to lose by speaking up publicly....

Danica can drive, no doubt about it. If Robbie has a problem, maybe he should get on the tred mill
I got an idea, how about taking away the computers from the crew chief's who are really smart to even it up for those who have dumber/less expereinced crew chiefs, and make the gov't subsidize teams that are less well funded so they are equal with teams that have mega bucks, and make every team that does well in qualifying share all their setup tips with all the rest of the teams to make that even too. And just so no one feels slighted after the race, they should give every driver a trophy that says "darn good job" LOL :D :D
It's called IROC.

I believe he (Gordon) has a point. All things being equal with the go-cart, (setup, horsepower, etc.)If she has the same talent she should be a little faster. That is a part of ALL sports Rob! You should spend your time worrying about a better car to compensate, not asking for them to slow her down. After all they say it's just 1 MPH! What was the diff. between the polesitter and the 30th place qualifier? After hearing this the first thing I thought was, Danica was not the only driver wearing PANTIES that day, I guess Robby had on a pair at the 600! I don't think there should be a change in the rule because it is not an UNFAIR adv. You want an unfair advantage, how about a 6'2" gaurd driving the lane only to run into Shaq, or a linebacker asked to cover a WR, Everyone don't have the same size, shape or WEIGHT so stop cryin'.
