For everyone that was giving advice on my motor problems in the past thanks.
Some Background motor would not run over 4800 rpm's 225 Mercury EFI 24 pitch Trophy Plust Prop
I went ahead and had the motor rebuilt because of the low compression and the leak down test results. This did not give me any more rpm's or speed the boat would still max out at around 4800 to 5000 rpm's. The motor did however sound good, idle good, was very quite, had a better hole-shot, and better acceleration.
However after rebuilding the engine I started getting an alarm one beep every second when the key was in the on position or the run position. The man that rebuilt my motor checked for oil consumption and also made sure the tank on the motor was full. He checked all the oil sensors and everything was ok. So he sent me to Clark Boat and Motors in East Alton, Illinois they checked it and it turned out one of the TPS Sensors was bad. They changed that tested motor no alarm.
Took Boat back to the lake no alarm and boat would now reach around 5100 rpm's. But the boat would not slow down changed the throttle cable took boat back out and boat runs like a dream around 5900 to 6000 rpm's and 65 mph not bad for a 24 pitch trophy.
Now if I can just get the boat to slow down when I let up on the hot foot. The hot foot releases the boat just does not slow down unless you hit the gas real hard and let up and then it will slow down. Also those little black hoses that go behind the butterfly's are NOT in the way something else is causing this and the hotfoot is coming all the was back when this happens it just wont slow down.
Any Help is Appreciated
