1984 Valero V bottom. I think it the same hull as the V- King. Need prop advice for a 2.5 200 Merc. I found a guy with a 27 SRX, but will i turn to many RPMs with a 27?

If the set up is even half decent you'll run a 27 way over 6000.

Hey Ed,

Go ahead and try that 26 chopper you have. That should be decent punch out of the hole. I turned 7100 with a 26 chopper on that boat and 6800 with a 28 chopper.

Hope you got it wet last weekend.

29 SRX was my best prop on my Valero YT (tunnel). I think it would work well on the V too. For a few more MPHs, have it worked by DAH. They're the best with SRXs.

One of my all time favorite boats....

Mine ran best with a 14X28 Hoss Triton 1, thinned & progressive pitched...

It left good for a 28 and ran great top end and drove like it was on rails.

I had some tail lift put in the prop and the boat would run flat and very stable to just over 100 with no tendency to try to fly the nose.

If you can find one I think you will like it better than a Chopper. I ran them and they ran pretty good but the extra diameter tended to try to walk the tail around a little more. Not bad, just more. The smaller diameter, thinner blades and lesser lift of the Triton made it a Grrrrrrrreat handling prop...

Just my .02...
