impeller help

After replacing my impeller and 2 metal thermostats on my evinrude 225 i
dont see any water comming out of the bottom.I let it run for a couple minutes and nothing.I also removed the hose on the poppet that goes to the thermostat to see if water was getting in.I do have a bobs nosecone on it with the flusher unit on :cool:

I think I would drop the lower and check the water pump again. It sounds like maybe the plastic key way is missing at the impeller and the impeller is not turning with the shaft. If you ran it a few minute without it getting any water you would probably have to replace the whole pump assembly. After you are sure the pump checks out you may want to try putting the motor in the water to make sure you are getting a good supply of water. I cant run mine long on the hose.

Make sure your tubes line up when you put lower unit back on. I made that mistake once. :)
