Where is this lake?

At least tell us what state it's in, then the right people can sign the petition.

I signed it 11 times already. If you just use a different name each time, it lets you keep signing and signing. A buddy of mine signed over thirty times so far under fake names. My uncle signed it, and he's been dead for two years ;)

I think this is a bad idea. From where I sit, I see public opinion towards performance boaters dropping off dramatically in the past few weeks while a very small group of pinheads has been the sport's representatives in NH. People in NH are coming to wrongly believe that these few yahoos are typical of the rest. While most perfomance boaters are actually mature and sensible and recognize that all behaviors need some reasonable limitations, these few simians are just jumping up and down and whining for their "right" to bob and weave at top-end speed through the kids in daysailers and canoes and families in runabouts that crowd NH's lakes. Instead of bending and trying to save some vestige of the sport, they are alienating the populace even further and doing the rest of you a huge disservice. Rather than working to have HB162 amended to allow for exceptions like sanctioned events or go-fast days, this bill is going to be expanded from just Winnipesaukee to all of NH's lakes. This is the direct result of the bad reputation these jerks are giving to the rest of you.
Before you sign anything, think this all over carefully. I'm sure that most of you will recognize that the days of unfettered mayhem on NH's lakes is over and that the next best thing for performance boating is some sort of compromise. By signing the following petition instead, we can work together towards saving some vestiges of your sport in NH.

I am being very honest and sincere. What this tree-hugging liberal is trying to sell you is the real lie. Check out Kerry_Edwards.com to see whose campaign he worked for in the last election. He has a long track record of trying to flip the the issue to forward his agenda, which is to ruin performance boating for the rest of you. Obviously, nobody can be as retarded as he is pretending to be. He knows that the best way to get performance boaters hated and their boats off the lake is to pretend to be one of them and make really stupid arguments to convince the public think that all performance boaters are idiots. and he's doing this on all the forums. He's doing far more harm that you can imagine, and only the stupidest of the performance boaters are falling for it. Wake up, before it is too late.

You say that performance boaters just want to bob and weave at top-end? Sounds like what you really want is to stop the jet skis. And just so you know, bobing and weaving at high speed is already a crime. It is called reckless operation. Maybe you should petition law enforcment to actually enforce existing laws rather than punish everyone for the lawless acts of a few. BTW I live in Florida and know all about speed limits!!! Once they put them on a body of water it just keeps getting worse and worse. The city I live in has tried to reclassify the canal I live as a navigable canal which would allow them to put a speed limit on it. The speed limit they want is ABSOLUTLY NO WAKE AT ALL!!!

Do not let them get a foothold with the speed limit BS or it will never stop.

Frank, show us a pic of your boat.

Pantera1, Show us a pic of you and President Bush.

Actually I don't care who you voted for, you are on the right side of this issue.

When they start their crap up here.....all kayaks, canoes ect will have 10ft high orange flags hanging off the back. I love when the morons are paddling around a mile offshore. I'm also going to complain about sails onstructing views for extended periods of time. Ridiculous....you bet but what's worse....waiting for a sailboat to run across my view for 5 minutes or a 20 second blast of 90 db noise going by? Will also insist on inspection for ****ters on board. I KNOW the cheap ass sailboaters put a valve on their waste tanks for dumping their gray water over board...ILLEGAL..... I say lets play.

I enjoy High Performance Boating and to have some jerk rich liberal take away my hobby is plain low down dirty. All these people that try to pass these bills most of them dont have boats and just just plain dont understand, so why are they allowed to vote and take aways our rights.

You know we have more important issues like Drugs,Social Security,Taxes,Schools, road repair, ect, ect, ect. the political losers just play a dodge ball game and really dont take the more important politics first.

Reasons not to have a speed limit.
A) You will loose vaction dollars in your state and town.
b) Most high performance boaters are the safest drivers.
c) We live in a free society.
d) If a law is passed , they will pass more laws and before you know it, you wont be able to paddle a canoe 2 mph.

I just want to end this note in sayiing if you do totally agree for a speed limit then in my opinion , you should not be on this web site cause baby we Scream and Fly !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

I don't think it's the rich liberals that are the problem....I think it's the wanna be rich liberals that can't stand anyone that has more than them....especially redneck hard working motorheads.

Mikey,
Please show us. I'll bet you don't have a single gun. I'll bet you are a card-carrying Democrat and gun-control supporter who still has the K-E stickers on his Saab bumper. If you really have a closet full of guns, show us the pic.

I signed the petition and will sign everyone that limits MY RIGHTS to enjoy whatever sport I see fit. I have never been to NH and probably never will go (nothing against the place just never been) but if it starts there it can spread and everyone should do there part to stop any UNREASONABLE restrictions on the waterways.
