IS there a water flow restrictor at the top of the heads that can be removed to flow more water? I am looking to have 2 lines dumping water (one from the top of each head) instead of routing the starboard line to the port and then having one dump line. I remeber hearing something about a water restrictor though. Any help is appreciated, also how the job is done would be appreciated. THNX

Yea it's called a thermostat. you can replace it with the right size s/s fender washer with a 3/16 hole that your rubber gromet will fit around or cut your thermostat's and silver soder a restrictor in. If you run just open, your mota may run to cold depending where you are running. I don't like running thermostats because on a bass boat they get pluged with grass too much.

Do a search in the "technical discussion" section of this website, there are many posts on this subject.

iF YOU HAVE A STEEL BORE MOTOR DONT REMOVE THE T-STATS
Dual dumps are cool lookin but this is one of the reasons that guys have problems keeping a non worn steel bore motor together
PLUS the motor makes more power when its hot(the right temp)
